SOCIAL WORKER - Remuneration $71,946.16 + Super
As a qualified Social Worker you require a minimum of 2 years' experience working within Crisis Intervention, Counselling and have a strong understanding of the impacts and effects of domestic violence in communities. You will work closely with the Case Worker and take a mentoring role as you both develop strong networks and relationships through the Family Safety Framework Meetings, Stakeholders and other referral pathways.
Working as part of this newly developed Outreach Strategy, you will need to be holistic, flexible and have a depth of cultural understanding for the required case management. Your responsibilities will include the development of individual safety plans for victims and their children and increased pathways to other services including housing, health, legal services and schools. Affective communication skills are paramount as you engage extensively with other support services and community organisations.
Reporting directly to the KWCC Coordinator, this roles requires you to have a current Ochre Card and verbal references which speak to your working values and awareness of the sensitive requirements and necessary skills to work successfully in this environment.
