What you will be doing
Supporting our strategic maintenance plans and business objectives, you will maintain the integrity of our Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) through managing the offsite refurbishment of repairable spares (assets and components). Your technical expertise and input will ensure refurbishment processes are managed to industry quality standards.
Responsibilities will include:
- Maximising the availability of repairable spare items through analysis and engagement with stakeholders in developing operational synergies between reliability, maintenance planning, break down risk management and repairable spares inventory management.
- Actively engaging with the HME Reliability Engineers to identify future rotable component requirements.
- Raising Change of Inventory Requests (CIR) as required and monitor progress until all changes have been actioned.
- Working with the Offsite Repairs Specialist based in Perth to ensure site receive desired outcomes.
- Developing and maintaining KPI reports that reflect the effectiveness of the Asset Management – HME Repairable Spares management program.
- Providing leadership to ensure repairable spares (including components) are suitably transported, packaged and preserved to be fit-for-use in the required operating time scale.
Who you are
You will have a Heavy Duty Mechanical trade qualification together with previous experience in HME component repair and refurbishment processes as well as an excellent understanding of parts re-usability and salvage repair guidelines. Your ability to engage and relate positively with internal and external stakeholders together with your high level of organisational and multitasking skills will be key to your success in this role. You will be an experienced user of SAP or similar. A working knowledge of CAT SIS and ET and training in Six Sigma/Lean Belt and Applied Failure Analysis will be highly regarded.
