Litchfield Municipality is situated on the outskirts of Darwin amid tropical rural bushland. We currently have casual work opportunities for Mobile Plant Operators to complement our current team of operators and fill operational gaps that arise from time. In this role, you will be called upon to undertake maintenance work and perform multi- operational tasks with a variety of plant and equipment in maintaining Council's land holdings and road reserves and to assist at our Waste Transfer Stations. As a Casual Plant operator, no day will be the same.
To be considered for this role, you will have proven experience in operating backhoes, bobcats and front end loaders as well tractors/slashers . You will also have a high level of physical fitness, good attention to detail, commitment to observing high WHS standards and the ability to work both autonomously or as part of a team. Experience in the Waste Management Industry is also of assistance for this role.
Additionally, you will be flexible with your availability and be a good team player; happy to represent Council as you perform your duties within the community.
